More Biking Fun and Wesley Bells Concert

Travis received a bike from the Shriners Bike Program in February 2012 (click here for details) and has had lots of fun biking around. Saturday was the BearCub Challenge, a lead up to the BearPa Challenge bike event in August. This is one of several organizations that raises money for the Shriners Adaptive Bike Program. Many families gathered for this fun, interactive opportunity for the riders of both styles of bikes.

We were treated to a wonderful pancake breakfast at Shriners, I think T had 3rds on pancakes. ;) We gathered outside to cheer on the bikers as they arrived. One of the biker's sons rode the last mile with the group and Travis quickly noticed the son had a "Cars" bike helmet like his, and wanted a picture with their helmets.

Travis quickly spotted the son of a rider that had the same bike helmet.
The bikers enjoyed the pancakes and after a short program it was time for the group picture and a fun obstacle course with water activities. There were several stations, by far the favorite was the throw the water balloon at a kid's basketball hoop. Barrett got in on the fun as a volunteer at the station where you fill the water squirter with water from one bucket and shoot the water into another bucket.

A favorite station for kids of all ages.

We had a wonderful time and hope to be able to see this group of bikers as they arrive in Park City in August.
A good time was had by all.
The Wesley Bell Ringers from our church celebrated their 50th year this summer with a wonderful, free public concert at Abravnel Hall on Saturday night at the end of their tour. Travis was excited that Alicia (his favorite bell ringer) was back in town and he called her name out each time he saw her on the big screen. His favorite part of the night was when he got to see Alicia after the concert.
Travis very happy to see his friend again.
