Travis continues to adjust to the Peg-interferon, each day generally better than the day before. Until today, low grade temperatures (below 100.0F) returned each afternoon along with fatigue. Today he rocked PT and no fever nor fatigue this afternoon.
Travis returned to school on Thursday and stayed the entire school day. He rested while we did 20 minutes of reading for homework. He caught up on the week's homework in one night, we did make some accommodations where he could verbally answer questions or circle words instead of writing answers for all the days.

T working on homework Thursday, even with a slight temp and fatigue |
The week's events and medicine adjustment caught up with Travis on Saturday afternoon. He ran another low-grade temperature (99.5F) along with fatigue. On Sunday the Choristers (kid choir at CUMC) sang during the 9:00a and 10:30a services, Travis sang along even while tired.

Travis felt pretty good after school today, probably due in part to the normal temperature. He worked in PT and joked with his physical therapist a few times. The physical therapist saw T's super competitive side when T "raced" a kid on a bike with larger wheels (like training wheels, but bigger) that stabilizes a regular bike like T's Shriner's bike. We will explore this option during T's next PT session. Several times of the years T's commented that he'd like a bike more like brothers. We will need to think outside the box to convert a regular bike to accommodate T, think straps on foot pedals and maybe a new seat. There are advantages to both styles of bikes, but this is something T's physical therapist thinks T can handle.
We took Travis' power chair to the medical equipment supplier and the entire joystick will need to be replaced. The staff said Southwest Airlines works well with them. While at Shriners, the mobility team fixed the strap where it won't unplug when T hits a bump, definitely a temporary fix. We also saw Mike, T's ortho guy, and he did a quick check on T and all looked good. Today was by far the best day we've seen since in a while, he even had energy to work hard on homework.
Next injection is Wednesday...I wonder if he'll pick out a donut or something else as his treat.
