We received some information today regarding Travis' enrollment in the Peg-interferon clinical trial at the National Institutes of Health, nothing related to flights though. We arrive on Sun, Feb 23rd with Travis' exam and blood work on Mon, Feb 24th. We'll learn how to dose and administer the medicine on Tue, Feb 25th after signing the consents and then Travis will receive his first dose. Wed, Feb 26th Travis will have a quick appointment to see how he's feeling, then we fly back to Salt Lake City.
Several NF families recommended Miracle Flights for Kids and we are working through the paperwork, some forms for the doctors to complete as well. I called Southwest Airlines customer service tonight and they have a fair enough rate that is on hold (until Feb 21st) while we wait to hear from NIH and the other flight companies. Lots of paperwork and quick deadlines...busy days ahead.
