Low White Blood Cell Count and Tumor Length

Dr. Viskochil called me Saturday to let me know that Travis' white blood cell count was a hair lower than in prior labs.  He wants a repeat CBC at the end of this week for Travis, but is not too concerned about the lower white blood count at this time.  Rapamycin suppresses the immune system, so the doctors expect lower numbers.  Thinking this is a short-term dip, no changes necessary to T's lifestyle.  :)

During last week, Barrett wrote down a few questions for Dr. Viskochil.  Dr. Viskochil answered them all for Barrett on his paper, so cool!  :)  One of the questions asked how long is Travis' tumor.  Great question.  Dr. Viskochil obtained a quick external measurement (rough estimate) of 15 inches from top to bottom.  Considering Travis is ~42 inches tall, the tumor takes up over 35% of T's height.  Woah!  Interesting persepective on T's tumor length, not including branches.

I've been reminded how fortunate we are to have God lead us to all of Travis' medical professionals and the move to Salt Lake City.  Thanks be to God!
