Every step makes a difference. That phrase is associated with NF Walk as a part of the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF). As described by CTF, "NF Walk is a national program in which communities rally around individuals and families affected by NF." This is a non-competitive walking event.
Our family participated in the Denver NF Walk last September and this was the first (and only) event we were able to attend as a family. We met many wonderful families, some we only knew through email, and see familiar faces. Not only does this event raise money for the Children's Tumor Foundation, it helps families connect and support each other.
Saturday, October 1st marks the first NF Walk in Salt Lake City. Our family is looking forward to supporting Travis by this event. We walk for family, friends, and those affected by NF that we may never meet. We have already met some wonderful families in the Salt Lake City area that are also affected by NF. The Children's Tumor Foundation Colorado Chapter provided our family with support and friendships that will be maintained even though we are in Utah. We would like to extend that same feeling of support here to compliment the outstanding medical care we have encountered in Salt Lake City.
