Unfortunately it took 3 tries/pokes today to get the blood needed for the rapamycin level test. No fooling. :( Although the nurse is good, T's veins are hard to get and several people have had difficulty in getting blood. However, he quickly rebounds to his normal self and is all smiles before we walk out the door. :) Today was especially hard for him since he's been fighting off a cold or is really tired/fatigued.
We were able to attend the Colorado Avalanche game on Thursday night and he had a great time watching hockey again. He was telling the people around us that Nolan (oldest brother) got to skate with the Avs. Too cute. He was telling the nurses this morning about the game and they asked who T's favorite hockey player is...he replied, "Nolan". :)
This blood will be sent out on Monday and we should have the results later in the week. We're hoping that he remains in the target range again. Then his next blood draw would be at the end of course 6 and can be done when the start the IV for the MRI. Wow...we're at the beginning of course 6, the time has flown by.
Glad to hear its all going well! But sorry to hear they had to poke him so many times. Not fun!
