Travis had a good night last night after his nap and the MRI. The Ronald McDonald House had free tickets/vouchers to the University of Utah men's basketball game against the Air Force Falcons last night. We got the vouchers and all 3 of us went to the game. Travis wasn't sure about going to the game, but he had a great time once it started. He even learned how to make the "U" using his hands. The Utes lost the game 49-54, but we had a good time.
We spent today driving around showing my mom some different sights that I know in the Salt Lake area. We went north of town to see what was up there. We didn't go to Antelope Island, but we know how to get there. We found a good spot to see the lake west of the city and she was able to get a few pictures. Then off to "This is the Place" and then by Fort Douglas on our way back to Ronald McDonald House to watch the game.
Travis has his appointment with the geneticist at 9a. I'm not sure if he'll have the written MRI report from the radiologist; but as before, it's the volumetric analysis done at the National Cancer Institute that will provide us with the best answer to how/if the plexiform is responding to the rapamycin. We have Saturday's MRI on CD to take to Dr Viskochil. We'll need to pick up more rapamycin from the research coordinator and give her the blood from the draw at yesterday's MRI.
The weather isn't looking the greatest for our travel back; slow, but not impossible. We appreciate all your prayers and support.
