We had another safe trip to Salt Lake City, it was so nice to have my mom along for the ride. The time flew by and we made it here a little longer than usual thanks to the slick road mainly east of Rawlins for ~60 miles. While we were slowed down some, it was still good traveling weather for the middle of winter. Thank you God for another safe trip.
Travis is excited to be back at Ronald McDonald House and craft night tonight...he made a Valentine. Thankfully we were able to get into a room today. Travis wanted to go out to eat at the Red Iguana and Grandma wanted to try it, so off we went. When we got back to Ronald McDonald House tonight, it was the same group making dinner that did one night we were here last stay. That was the group that Travis fussed during the whole taco meal saying "Don't like this. Don't want this", it's an open kitchen so they could hear him. When we were done and cleaning up he told them "Thank you. It was yummy." Too funny!!!!
We were able to briefly meet up with the research coordinator and give her the paperwork for mailing the blood work that checks his rapamycin level. We also got more of the kits to use to mail off the blood, if he stays on the trial we won't need to be back here until the end of April.
We are heading to Shriners in the morning to meet with the Orthopedic PA and get his brace. Hopefully all goes well and he can keep his cool Lightning McQueen shoes.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
