Colorado Avalanche Day Pictures

Wow...Tuesday with the Colorado Avalanche was incredible!!!  :)  Nolan was very honored to be chosen to represent the Cheyenne Capitals as the Avalanche Youth Skater and all of us were able to share this experience with him.  While we knew Nolan would get to meet the Avs, this day was destined for family fun and we all were able to meet the Avs after their morning skate.  Travis wasn't too sure he wanted to shake hands, high 5, or give knuckles when they first came out of their locker room, he quickly realized the fun of meeting the Avs and getting their autographs on his jersey.  :)

Matt Duchene signing Travis' jersey.  You can see T's NF shirt through the jersey.  Nolan was the highest bidder for the signed Matt Duchene jersey at the Denver NF Walk in Sept '10.

When we met up with Matt earlier in the morning, he gave each of the boys a stuffed animal Bernie, new mascot for the Avs.  Thanks Matt!  The kids also got to sit on one of the two Zamboni's they use at the Pepsi Center.

We had the afternoon to spend in Denver after the morning skate and meeting the Avs.  We had fun eating pizza for lunch (Travis really wanted pizza), eating Blue Bell ice cream, and enjoying the warm January day.  We headed back to the Pepsi Center to get Nolan ready to skate on the ice with the Avalanche and watch an exciting hockey game.  Travis (and the rest of us too!) enjoyed watching the game and the Avs 4-3 OT win.  What an incredible experience for Nolan and the entire family!  We are truly blessed!

Nolan is to the right of the Avs starters on the blue line for the national anthems.  He even skated with the Avs when they came out on the ice right before the game started.  Travis was so excited to see his brother on the ice with the Avs.

We should find out today the results of last Friday's blood draw and if Travis' rapamycin level is back in range. If he's in range, then he has another blood draw tomorrow morning.  If not, then a dosage increase and a blood draw a week from tomorrow.
