There's something about Travis that draws people to him, even people he's never met nor know his story. I've commented several times, nobody walks away from Travis unaffected...Friday night was Brad Paisley's turn. :) (Don't get me wrong, Nolan and Barrett have a similar quality, but it's a whole different level with T.)
We attended the Brad Paisley concert Friday night on a last minute whim. Scott scored a great deal on the tickets early Friday evening, off we went thanks to his tennis officiating job fund. We had great seats near the middle of the amphitheater and noticed the barriers being moved back during the concert.

Brad Paisley and some band members moved to the island stage at USANA near our seats and we were told that he would be passing through the aisle a few rows ahead of us. We had aisle seats and moved to the barrier. One of Brad Paisley's crew members noticed Travis and gave him (and Nolan and Barrett) guitar picks. Soon it was time for Brad to come through and he was giving high 5s to the audience. He gave one to Travis, stopped and came back to T and said, "Hey Buddy." Thankfully Nolan remembers what he said (I was too excited for our family). Brad Paisley smiled at Travis and reached in his pocket to give T a guitar pick. We were so surprised.

That guitar pick slipped through Travis' fingers (I think we found it nearby right after Brad Paisley left). The staff at USANA, or it could have been crew, came back to us and told us that they (staff) told Brad that the pick slipped through T's fingers and Brad gave them another one to give to Travis. :)

Our family went to Cheyenne for Frontier Days to see friends, then a quick stop in Denver to see Uncle Jack and Aunt Dar, and off to Arches National Park the week before. We arrived home on Sunday and Snowy, our cat, was missing since that day. We looked for her for 5 days (fliers, checking shelters, listing on KSL, notifying microchip company, going door-to-door, etc) and she finally returned home early Friday morning. We were excited to see Brad Paisley in concert, not even knowing that we would briefly get to meet him.
Thank you God for answered prayers and the ending of this week being better than any of us could imagine. The volumetric analysis of T's tumor is not in yet, T sees Dr. Viskochil on Tuesday for another checkup. Thank you for the prayers. We are so Blessed.
Awesome! It looks like you all had a great time:-) Sorry we missed you while you were in Cheyenne. Louden and I were in Denver for a goalie camp. Love to The Carps.
