A Medical Win for T and NF Walk

Travis rocked his routine opthamology appointment today! Travis' optic nerves continue to look great and the opthamologist found nothing new after getting good looks into T's eyes. Travis has quite a few Lisch Nodules, harmless nodules on his irises that do not affect vision, these were there last year. Most people with these nodules have NF1, obviously we already know Travis has NF1. The doctor said he'd see us again in a year or earlier if needed. We all needed this win, especially Travis. I think the doctor also enjoyed being able to hand us a win. It felt great to leave an appointment with no concerns. :) Praise God!

We are walking again this year at the Utah NF Walk on Saturday, August 24th in Sugar House Park as Team Travis http://ctf.kintera.org/nfwalksaltlakecity2013/teamtravis . This year's NF Walk will have face painters, Lowe's Build and Grow kits, spiderman, princesses, SLC Fire Department, kids activities, raffle items and more! We walk for Travis and the many other inspiring individuals we have met along this journey. We walk for support, we walk to get closer to finding effective treatments to help those affected by NF (and other areas will also benefit), we walk to raise awareness, we walk because this year reminded us how hard T works to walk and we're not sure if there will be a day where he can't walk.

Thank you for your prayers and support for our family as we all go through this journey with Travis.
