Dr. Randall Appointment - Nothing Unexpected, Always a Good Thing

Travis saw Dr. Lor Randall today for a consultation, basically a baseline if Travis needs plexiform surgery at some point down the road.  While Dr. Randall sees patients with more extensive plexiforms, he stated Travis' plexiform is in the top tier of his patients.  Ummm...sometimes it's hard knowing your son is known in the medical community for his extensive tumor (and super femur).  Then again, he's on the radar of fabulous doctors and this type of tumor typically remains non-cancerous...maybe not so bad.  Dr. Randall is a "new" member of Travis' medical team; however, Dr. Randall has heard of Travis and his issues from the other docs on T's team.

Dr. Randall will see Travis yearly, earlier if any issues arise.  Hopefully the future visits with Dr. Randall continue the trend set in the office today.  One item that stood out to me is Dr. Randall wants to know the patients and their families so we have a good medical relationship and to notice any changes over time.  He even said to call if our parental "spidey senses" kick in and something doesn't seem right.  May we never need to make that call.

Unfortunately, the bug plaguing Travis won't completely leave him alone.  :(  He had a great weekend and a slight relapse today.  Here's to the bug leaving the house and all of us alone.
