Starting to Take a Few Steps

Travis started taking a few steps while holding on to hands/things this week during Vacation Bible School.  He's having such a great time, he wants to get up and dance.  Woohoo!  :)  Yea Pandamania.  While he doesn't share the same enthusiasm at home when we try to help him walk, he CAN do it. We are waiting to hear when he has his next appointment at Shriners to see about his cast and how he's healing.

He's taking his Magic Mouthwash medicine really good, we think he can feel a difference after he has it.  He keeps asking to go to the doctor, mainly Dr. V and Heather, to "take it out" so he'll feel better.  Too funny.  .

Travis has his end of course 9 MRI next Thursday where they will be looking at the usual areas for the drug trial, pelvis/abdomen and left upper leg.  In addition, they will be doing a brain MRI to check out his vestibular system (to see why he tilts his head to the left so much).  Travis had a brain MRI scan done during his first MRI in Denver, they were mainly looking for anything in the optical pathway and not lower down the body.  Dr. Viskochil would have the MRI techs do very thin slices around T's vestibular system, think ears.  Travis will have this done while he's sedated for the routine clinical trial MRI.
