Day 3 Travis' Make-A-Wish

There was little evidence when we woke up Sunday morning of the overnight showers and thunderstorms during our first night of T's Wish cruise. As we looked outside in the morning, we realized we were looking at the mountains of Cuba. What a cool surprise!! We hear so much about Cuba, seeing it in person (even from a distance) made for a great start to the day. Travis hoped he would see dolphins in the wild sometime during his Wish, the Bridge tour later in the day offered a chance for that to happen. This day brought a day at sea while we traveled to Belize and time to enjoy some of what the ship offers.
Cuba, we were just a few miles offshore
We enjoyed breakfast and Nolan wanted to try the rock climbing wall before we hit the pool and our activities, including meeting the Captain, later in the day.

We made our way to the pool for fun and Bingo. The perfect weather created a beautiful day to be outside. Luckily we found good seats by the pool and lots of great times were had by all. The family pool has a shallow section (where T's dipping his head) and a deeper section. They can change the level of the water in the sections based on what activity is occurring at the time. The ship runs an incredible Teen Program and when Nolan didn't need to be with us, he was off making new friends and memories...this was one of those times.

On our way to the Bridge to meet the Captain, we ran into a fellow Broncos fan. Naturally we say, "Go Broncos". I can't remember how they did that day, but it's always fun to chat with fellow fans.
Go Broncos!
We met with Lori from Kids' Programs at the meeting spot as we prepared to go onto the Bridge for our tour and to meet with the Captain. After being cleared by security, we made our way onto the Bridge. The Captain was busy at that moment, but we got a great tour by the other officers on duty. Many questions were asked, including T's typical, "how fast" questions. :)

As mentioned before, Travis hoped to be able to see dolphins in the wild while on his Wish. He asked the crew when would be the best time to see dolphins. He answered that sometimes coming into/out of Cozumel and occasionally while they were cruising. The quick pace of the cruising speed makes it a little difficult, but he mentioned that it has happened before. We all set our eyes in the bow wake area, the best spot to see something, as they said it could be several hours before we see anything. We spotted flying fish, super cool.

After a few minutes, as if on cue, we spotted dolphins!!! We all thoroughly enjoyed seeing dolphins in their natural element, especially Travis. :)

That truly added another magic moment and the power of a wish to Travis' life. Such an amazing sight to see in person! The Captain showed up shortly after we spotted the dolphins so we took a picture with him.
The Captain meeting Travis, or is it the other way around?

Such an amazing experience for all of us. On the way back to the room we stopped at the Cupcake Cupboard for a treat. So good...
Mmmm...cupcakes!

We dressed for dinner and enjoyed another delicious meal! Our incredible wait staff brought us all kinds of things to sample again this night. Super friendly people and comments are made to this day wondering how they are doing.
Nolan liked the ship napkin
Barrett did too
After dinner we changed back into our comfortable clothes and noticed our towel animals. Seemingly small things add such a great touch on the cruise experience for all.

Nolan and Barrett headed out for the Teen Program while Scott, Travis, and I found the 70s themed party on the Promenade. Another day full of memories for the entire family...memories that we carry with us to this day.
