Halloween Fun

Travis is over whatever bug plagued him last weekend and was well enough to go to school on Monday. He continued getting better each day and was completely back to normal for Halloween. No surprise he was a penguin again this year. ;)  This makes the 4th Halloween Travis was a penguin, in the same costume.

The school held their Halloween Carnival the Friday before Halloween after school. All students were permitted to wear their costumes on that Friday, the school has a uniform color clothing policy. Of course on Wednesday there were Halloween themed worksheets, stickers, and fun. We met up with friends for trick-or-treating at a local shopping center known for trick-or-treats (the cookies at the bakery store smelled wonderful). After dinner the kids and I went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. We joined one of our neighbors shortly after starting and had a great time. It was a warm night for all to be out. We met up with another family as we were almost back to our house.

T's candy haul
Travis decided he would like to sell some of his candy to a local dentist office for a candy for our troops program. Nolan and Barrett also joined in on this cause. Travis and Barrett each received $4 for their 4 lbs each of candy, Nolan had over 6 pounds.

Travis sees his orthopedic team at Shriners this Wednesday. I'm hopeful we'll be able to find out answers for why his right (non-tumor) leg is causing him pain. We'll also get a feel of his true leg length discrepancy. A quick standing on each leg measurement at his MRI last month showed that T's left leg was now ~3 inches longer than the right, prior MRI indicated a ~2 inch discrepancy. Speaking of MRIs, still no word on the volumetric analysis from the National Cancer Institute...not surprising with Hurricane Sandy affecting the East Coast.
