Emotional Day

Emotional day, today marks 2 years since Travis' appointment with the geneticist in Denver that changed our lives.  We found out in that appointment the geneticist suspected (confirmed on MRI ~2 weeks later) a plexiform neurofibroma on his left side. That day changed the life of our family.  We also learned that morning in 2009  Travis' bone structure changed significantly in the previous 4 months.  When the MRI confirmed the plexiform, the orthopedic plans switched to a secondary role.

God lined up the series of events for me to meet Travis' geneticist now in the summer of 2010, to bring Travis to Salt Lake City for a 2nd opinion, the clinical trial, the good travel weather for us, the move, the closeness to his medical teams now, activities and schools for Nolan and Barrett, and so much more.  I know in my heart we are where we need to be and doing what we need to do for T's medical care.  This journey increased my Faith in a way I never could have imagined possible, He lead us to this place in our lives for a reason.  Today brought a day full of varied emotions.  One cannot change the reason for the journey; yet God used this journey as an opportunity for me to increase my faith and spirituality.
