Travis impressed his orthopedic team at Shriners during his appointment from his "8-plate" surgery on June 1st. In keeping with the great orthopedic news in September, everything looks great. :) The team commented that T looks better than they've ever seen him, orthopedically speaking.

The knee improved 6 degrees since the surgery, and 15 degrees remain for the entire correction. While slower than others with the same procedure, the doctors remain pleased with the progress already completed. We'll take that win.

T's tibia remains twisted and the team at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Salt Lake City will watch for worsening. Overall, a great appointment.
Unfortunately, T's pain started returning mid-summer and steadily increased in amount since then. The pain meds generally take the edge off of his discomfort. T's not one to state he hurts, but one can tell by looking in his eyes, observing that he frustrates easier, and he fatigues quicker. We keep in contact with his medical teams and we remain prayerful that the next clinical trial will help with the overall pain.
Travis likes Halloween and decided to dress up as a hockey player again this year. He enjoyed his class party and school parade on Friday. We opted to go Trick-or-Treating at the University of Utah instead of the local shopping venue in the afternoon an d then around the neighborhood in the evening.
