Travis finished 1st grade on Tuesday, this past year flew by. We are so thankful that he was healthy at the end of this school year and able to participate in fun field trips the last few weeks of school. :) Ms Carla was the ideal teacher for T and he was blessed to have her for Kindergarten and 1st Grade. She prepared T (and us) for success in 2nd grade and beyond.
Travis' class went to the fountains at Gateway for some water fun with their 4th grade reading buddies. Travis wore his old brace in the fountains and used his walker to get around, he had a great time!

While the 1st and 2nd grade classes went to Jump Around Utah, a bounce house place, T got a private tour of his favorite donut place. Banbury Cross also was a supporter of #EndNF with Travis golf tournament. Travis enjoyed seeing how the donuts are made, he was impressed by the donut fryer and the 5 gallon sprinkle container. Of course he ended up with a free donut there and some to bring back. I think he had more fun there than some of his classmates did at the bouncy house.

Travis finished up Spring Miracle League Baseball on Saturday, he pitched some again this game. This was the first time he was in a team photo, so cool!

Monday and Tuesday at school were filled with fun mixed in with bittersweet. Travis will attend the neighborhood elementary starting this fall, so he was sad to leave his friends (classmates and staff) behind. We all got teary-eyed, but know great things are also in store for T at his neighborhood school. Thank you Whittier for the memories and the time to have all 3 boys in 1 school, next year will be 3 boys in 3 schools.

Travis tried sledge (adapted) hockey the first time on Wednesday night and had a blast. He was bummed he had to wait another week before he had a chance to get on the ice again. We are able to keep T safe while on the ice. Scott, Nolan, and Barrett joined T on the ice since it was a quiet night at the rink.

Friday brings the MRI to give us a first look of how T's tumor is responding to the Peg-interferon. Luckily, the MRI is early in the morning, thinking we'll be out by noon or so. As before, we'll get a CD of the images and upload them to the NIH. They
should have the volumetric analysis completed for when we are back at the NIH in mid-June. Fortunately for me, I have VBS to keep me busy while we are waiting for information. Travis continues to tolerate the injections pretty good, but I'm growing weary of giving him injections. Deep breath and prayers. Thank you for the support on our journey.
