Saturday marked Travis' 11th MRI in Salt Lake City in 2.5 years and 13th MRI overall. We have gotten to know many of the staff at MRI since T's MRIs occur every 3 months and find the humor when we can, thus the created punch card stating T earned a free MRI (buy 10, get 1 free). The nurses and staff thought it was pretty funny and took pics to show others.

Travis has had an MRI on Saturday before and they make for quiet days in the radiology department. We arrived and the "Cars" room was already in use, so Travis went to the "Winnie the Pooh" room. He asked to watch tv and settled in pretty quick playing cars while watching "The Muppets". Once again, Travis remained brave when his IV was placed and blood draw. By 9:30a Travis was in the MRI machine.

The nurse brought Travis into recovery around 10:40a and he had a good snooze before it was time to start waking up. T has this routine down, so he bypassed the popsicles and went straight for the Oreos. We were out of MRI by 11:30a and off we went to find the post-MRI donut. *Note to self...not many donut options mid-day on Saturday at either Primary Children's nor University Hospital. Travis decided the pink donut was the best choice.

Travis took a nap after we got home and was ready for the rest of the day when he woke up Saturday afternoon. We have a copy of the MRI on CD and will get the initial results at Tuesday's appointment with Dr. Viskochil. The MRI will be sent to National Cancer Institute for the volumetric analysis. We'll see what each of these results brings, both local radiologist and volumetric analysis for any issues related to walking and tumor progression.
Thank you for all the prayers for Travis and our family. We're praying there will be some insight to Travis' walking issue (left foot pointed outward, dragging left foot more, balance not as good as before...all before he pulled his calf muscle) and other issue. Also, prayers for peace with the results as sometimes there are no answers.
