We knew when we changed T's specialists from Denver we would probably have to go back to Salt Lake City this month. Travis and I are heading back to SLC on Sunday for his bone scans (since we will be there) and another MRI. The clinical trial uses 3 months between MRIs to determine how the plexiforms has changed, so it's good to get the difference in Travis' plexiform from July to October. Now the MRIs will be on the same settings as the clinical trial, if we decide to go that route and if T would still qualify for the trial. The MRI is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, starting at 2p.
While we are in Salt Lake City, we will get the bone scans that weren't able to be done when we were there earlier this month since the lady was in training. Luckily, Travis doesn't have to be sedated for the bone scans, unlike the MRI. The bone scans are set up for 3p on Monday and are part of the bone research study.
Some of this morning was spent with insurance getting a Case Manager for our insurance in Utah. I highly recommend getting a nurse Case Manager set up if you/your kid/family member has multiple medical appointments/issues. The managers we have for Travis in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah are wonderful, helpful people when we have insurance questions.
Scott has to work some while we're gone, so we have wonderful friends that have agreed to watch the older boys while he's at work. Thank you Janelle, Natalie, and Adrienne!!!
Thank you again for all your prayers, support and thoughts.
