Kindergarten

Wow...Travis starts Kindergarten in the morning (Wed, Aug 29th). Where did the time go? It seems like just the other day T was a little over a month old when Nolan started Kindergarten. T is super excited to start Kindergarten and he has a great teacher. :) We're collaborating with the teacher and school to get things in order for Travis. This is a new adventure for both of us, I'm sure we'll both shed tears and both adjust to this new and exciting chapter in T's life.

The past few weeks leading up to this day have been packed with activities and appointments. Travis saw Dr. Viskochil last Tuesday and I got to see the chart showing the increase in T's plexiform growth from Apr-Jul. Travis looks great and there are no areas that jumped out as areas of significant growth.

This past Saturday Travis participated in the 2012 Salt Lake City NF Walk at Sugar House Park. Travis was honored by receiving one of 2 NF Hero Awards given at the event. Travis had fun building the Lowe's Build and Grow kits, getting a blue penguin painted on his face, the walk, and seeing friends. More details and pics to come. This year's event was a great success and the location was fabulous.

On Sat, Aug 18th, we had the honor of attending a Kruisers for Kids event to raise money for the Shriners bike program. Travis had a blast riding his bike around the car show. It was great seeing the participants pointing out to their friends/family/attendees that that is the reason they are having the car show to raise money. Travis even got to pick out the car he wanted to ride to the grocery store. There were many wonderful choices and he chose a red 2001 Chevy Corvette. It was a beautiful car. Nolan and Barrett also got to judge their favorite cars, pictures to come.

Thank you for the continued prayers and support for Travis. We were reminded again this month that we are where God wants our family to be located and that He knows T so well.
